Hi Saito san and all! Back on the research for a quick Tokyo trip end of this month. Struggling to find savoury breakfast restaurants that open around 7 or 8am. Will be staying in Ginza but not opting into hotel breakfast, any ideas? Have previously dropped by tempura kurokawa for breakfast tendon, but not on this list this time. Thanks in advance.

There are a few savory sandwiches on the menu at Ginza Tricolore Coffee (their Japanese toast sets are nice too), an iconic retro western style influenced Japanese coffee shop. They open at 8 am but better to go a bit earlier as it does get very busy. Tsukiji Sawaiken 築地 幸軒 (in Tsukji) opens 6 am except closed Sundays and is famous for their chashu men (shoyu base) and shumai. There are more choices in Toyosu for sure.

does anyone know how difficult it is to book Nihonryori Fuji on Omakase's monthly release? It seems like table-ex isn't really an option (getting no response), and they don't take concierge bookings either.

Hate recommending them but Tableall is pretty effective as they get early access to seats.

Thanks Eric! Looks like they get access to Chisou Nishi Kenichi too, so will ask them for that. Looks like Fuji is booked out already for that week.

Eric or others: how would you sum up the differences between Onjaku and Fuji? Casual research doesn't give me a lot of insight. I'm sure both are excellent, of course.
